Ladies Day
Well it seemed that way by the time I got to the top of Signature Hill the second time. I thought that a late start would have everyone else well ahead of me - wrong. Neither did I have to worry about the firmness of the snow - it was soft and dry where the new snow had settled. The remainder was a dirty colour with that breaking-glass type of icing on top.
Some drifts provided half boot-deep turns in dry powder - all very enjoyable. Unfortunately, even with the new snows, the extreme gales have really stripped many areas on the main range.
There were a lot of people out back - far more than if the resort had been open. Between the skier and boarder tracks, kickers, snowshoe trails and animal tracks we had to search out our own freshies.

There were tracks all over the place

Mt Kosciuszko in the distance

Kosi South Ridge and no cornice in September

The freshies were sweet

Splash - how wet did they get? There's many a trap outback in spring

Signature Hill somewhat trashed while we worked all the edges

More possible snows on Wednesday and Friday.
